OD New download

I just downloaded all of the parts to Object Desktop but some of the programs say "the serial number you have entered does not appear to be correct for this installer. Visit support to be sent the latest enhanced version for registerd users and the serial number for it." (I've included them below).

A couple of them DO work, but look like Win98 programs (is there an updated version?). I am assuming the serials are correct but the "old" versions of the software are posted. If there are separate versions for the different operating systems, it might be helpful to add that info to the download links. For instance..WindowsFX has a version 3 and 4 that both download but seem to do different things. Please advise on an updated link and get rid of the obsolete downloads.

Thank you ahead of time.

Where did you get the links? From the Stardock store?

Some of those programs are discontinued. IconX is one.

WebBlinds is another.

What OS are you running?

Even the ones not discontinued are not current versions.  Odd.

Please click on the "About" tab in your Windowblinds configuration menu and post the data (click on the copy to clip board) in this thread.

Because you (Chaska) had a subscription back in 2003 all the apps that have been available for you are still available to you although some won't work on modern systems.  You bought them . . you got them, right?

For what it's worth, KeyboardLaunchpad is teh Stardock app I use teh most . . liek 200 times a day.  I love that thing!

I'm guessing that's the one that moves your keys around, so you can type in Zubish effortlessly... *_*

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'm running Windows 7 32bit. I DID have Object Desktop several years ago, but just bought and paid for the new versions on Friday of this week. The link was the download link area given to me by Stardock when the payment went through online.

Here is the requested screen:

Your computer has a Windows Experience Index base score of Your Windows Graphics Experience score is 0.0

WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 7.3 (build 310 - Windows 7 Edition)

WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC WindowBlinds appears to be activated on this PC (Generic PnP Monitor) 1 is attached to ATI MOBILITY RADEON Xpress 200 Series

Wblind.dll      2011/10/17 11:18:20 Wbsrv.dll      2011/09/26 15:10:10 SevenConfig.exe      2011/10/13 17:33:52 Wbload.exe      2010/10/20 16:08:35 Wbhelp.dll      2011/10/04 10:01:37 Tray.dll           2009/10/23 20:12:19 Wbload.dll           2010/06/07 15:59:25 Screen.exe      2010/06/07 15:59:43

So how do I go about getting the correct versions?

I just requsted another link to the downloads and got sent to a different page than before, but here is the one just sent to my email:

https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products . I did do a PDF conversion of the page before if that would help I could email it to you so you could see where the downloads came from.

Oops..also, the list I posted was ONLY of the programs I was having trouble with. If it's part of Object Desktop and not on the list, it worked just fine.

Which is why I asked my question... I couldn't understand why the main ingredients were missing.

You have a few obsolete proggies there... already mentioned. Zubaz has a distinction - the only person on earth using keyboard launchpad: His vengeance on his poor, abused keyboard. ;)

:maybe: :maybe:

Do you have Win7 Starter on a Netbook or something?

No, I have just not run the program that grades the experience.

Establishing your Windows Graphic Experience is important as it will have a direct impact on how things will or won't run on your computer.   Well, atleast that is how I understand it.   :sun:

You'll need to run the WEI (Windows Experience Index) to have Windowblinds display skins correctly.

Thought that was 'automatic' in Win7 - I certainly never knowingly ran such a program.

It should initially, but if there are any hardware changes, it may require you to re-run to get your score.

Makes sense, Rosco.  Hadn't considered that.

In the case of NVidia, that also includes graphics driver updates, I don't know about ATI.
