New Skirmish Feature Suggestions

They should allow you to add AI players to a skirmish game after you've really established your self.  I always hate it when im ultra powerful by the end of a skirmish game but all of the AI players are already defeated .

I can't stand not having anyone to use all that immense power on#:( .  They should add a feature where you can add new AI players to a game even after all the other AI players have been defeated and maybe a difficulty setting to determine the size of their empire when they enter the game.

Sure it would be for bullying purposes :grin: but who doesn't want to flex their powerful space muscles a little huh?

I think if you want a serious challenge throughout the beginning, middle, and end parts of a game you should try playing against humans. While the AI is generally very poor overall against a human who has some idea of what they're doing, the AI is also extremely poor in the late-game, regardless of difficulty level.

Even if you could add a few more ships owned by an AI you could blow up, there wouldn't be much point.

Seriously, try ICO (Ironclad Online, the Sins multiplayer server). Playing against human opponents who are actually capable of making strategic decisions adds a whole new dimension to the game!

If you have the patience of the Saint and can tolerate people who don't give a damn about you or what you want to do, and can tolerate being labeled a smurf, flamed, trolled, spammed, etc.

Well... it looks... different... I'll give you that, so, mission accomplished!

What exactly is it? When I look at it, I think of a Nazi Zombie from Call of Duty. No idea why. It looks nothing like one, except maybe the skin color.

You know what i suggest that there should be campaign in sins of a solar empire because you really started losing your mind playing skirmish, am i right?O:)

How about this, we've all dealt with the Diplomacy Pirate bug

 

what about make it intentional,  have a map with moderate planets (enough for a decent econmy) bith a single pirate base behind a star. But here’s the catch it’s a one way jump lane from the base to the star, meaning you can’t stop the flow.

 

It’s an endurance test, how long will your defences last before being completely overwhelmed?

Probably forever, if you know what you're doing.

Put 4 starbases in the star's gravity well, right in the midst of where the pirates will warp to your planets from. Upgrade SB weapons. Then put a starbase on that front-line planet. Upgrade it fully. Also build static defenses, probably all turrets and repair bays.

That'll be enough to fight off most AI attacks, even very strong fleets. It'll certainly be enough to fight off any pirate attack.

but were ar talking about the bug pirates, they can just shoot by your bases, only the advent could really stale them

Improve the way AI researches so they aren't like Forest Gump with a lobotomy.  Pirates and Militia who upgrade 5% every 40 minutes to a max of +50% to armor, shields, damage, range, rof would make thing interesting.
