I am playing a large 3v3 single player map. But all the AIs are building fleets of 30+ siege frigates. They can almost instakill my worlds. I am stuck in a long attriction war now. The fleets are constantly attacking the captured world of Voice' homeworld

Recently, I finished off Voice, but the surviver started building a fleet of 45+ discipes to support the now 25 seige frigate fleet, which is also escorted by 2 lev 1 Rad Battleships, and a lev 1 & lev 2 Revalation Battlecruiser. Is there any way to defeat them without a long war of attriciton? My ally on the other side of the system is in a stalemate, and the middle ally is trying in vain to secure the star. (I am using the Matar map.) I only have the vanilla version, so I have fortified Voice's Homeworld with a massive amount of beam defence platforms.

And as for football... just be happy you don't have the Bears for your team. Its always a crazy roller coaster. They beat the teams they have every right to lose to and lose to the teams they should handily defeat. Every time, for years. I'm happy that headway has been made, but it seems to me we still don't have all the right pieces together.

See, I think the Bears situation over the years has been worse than if they were a team that lost every/most games. At least theres consistency there: You have a very clear reason why they lose and what is wrong with the team. But the Bears are very inconsistant: They give you hope and confidence and then rip it away. And when they lose, it's often because they sucked at the very reason they won last week's game. To make an analogy, its like you lost this game because you got phase missile upgrades. WTF!?

Actually, they've done really well this year in the consistency category. However, I am anticipating a huge crushing defeat any day now.

I can hear the superfans yelling "Da Berss!" and "Praise Ditka." a lot in this thread.  XD  I'm with JA.  I'm a life long Steelers fan and knowing that the tough part of our schedule is behind us, I feel pretty good about where we're at...  Except for losing to the fucking ratbirds twice means we auto lose all tie breakers with them...

 

 

 

 

Oh yeah, and Ditka  trains my siege frigates, so I always win.  ;P

you really need Entrenchment... a few mine can destroy a full fleet of siege frigates... the only thing who can help destroy your mine are the enemy scout...

For the next 17 hours, you have a promo on steam where you can have sins + entrenchment + diplomacy ( it is called trinity ) for less that the price of the two expansion... take a look at http://store.steampowered.com/app/201290/ ...

As for secure star, once you have entrenchment, Starbase are great... you can build 4 of them around star ( useful in multi star map when your have already conquer fully your system and move your fleet for invade other star system... fleet are made for move and attack and not stay resting at star...
