Demigod Quick mod question

Sorry for a newbie question! - i just brought the game and installed Pacovs compilation pack it seems to all work perfectly in skirmish mode, but only the UI mods work in the tournament mode ( The balancing mod is the main one i was wanting to work in tournament ) . Is there anyway to make it work in tournament or have i done something wrong?

the mods only work in skirmish mode, sorry.
