Granny k10w3

I thought I'd make it official -- As of October 25, at 4:17 in the morning, I became a grandmother, for the first time.  I haven't met my grandson yet--still too busy at work to take time off to make the 4-hour drive to meet him, and I thought I would let the new parents settle down for a few weeks before putting the stress of a guest in their home on them, but here he is...all 11 pounds 11 ounces of my first grandson, Remington Danger <---the name was my son's idea; always thinking ahead, he figured it would be an awesome pickup line for his son to tell some girl "Danger is my middle name."

Now if someone knows where I can get an infant Indiana Jones Fedora, we'll be all set! :)

Yeah, congrats to the proud parents and the [obviously clucky] grandma.  I can tell from the tone in your voice that you're over the moon on this one, and why not!

So yeah, Karen, suck it up for all it's worth... 'like it's not something that happens every day, is it! O:)

My Dad was an even 12 pounds. Born at home, midwife, no epidural, no drugs.

One other thing:

National Grandparents Day is celebrated on the first Sunday after Labor Day, annually.

Mark your calendar. Too late for this year but next year it's on September 9. :sun:

Thank you everbody!  My son sent me a video today, so I could "hear his little noises."  OMG!  I just had no idea I could feel this much joy and love!  I follow my daughter-in-law's postings on Facebook, the pictures she takes of Remington and Levi together and how much she loves them both, what a great father he's being and how well he's taking care of her as she's recovering from the C-section.  I had no clue this was going to be the most beautiful story I'd ever been told.
