Hey Thanks to impulse and stardock!

I got a new computer and installed the game on my new computer, tried to log in on impulse to update the game, you know what? It won't let me! Thanks impulse and stardock, why don't you start making some mirrors so people who are being rejected by impulse, can download Updates?

If you're having issues updating, please contact Impulse/Gamestop support directly. They should be able to help get the problem resolved.

Its not issues about updating, its about logging onto Impulse and getting the update. I get "Please enter the 'CORRECT EMAIL ADDRESS AND PASSWORD" When i have, serveral times. Ive tried to reset my password to no avail. The whole system needs to be monitored better and better support for customers. Ive emailed them 5 times already telling them about my problem. Still they haven't responded.

 

They need a download on their own forums such as this, for us to download at our leisure.

Here is what i got when i tried to reset my password just a few minutes ago.

Processing your request..

Your Password has been reset successfully.

Somthing went wrong. We were unable to reset your password, or the system had a hiccup.

 
THe system doesn't have a hiccup, it needs to be reviewed and rebuilt.

The support queue sorts by order of least recent activity, so doing that resets your place in line and would explain why you're not getting a reply. If you allow your ticket an opportunity to move to the front of the line so it gets addressed, they should be able to get things sorted for you.

Still, i shouldn't need to be waiting on them to review something so simple that could have been resolved last week.

Are you trying to log in with your email or your account name? I used my account name previously, but after the GameStop acquisition, I've had to switch over to email.

I just start impulse and expect it to log itself in like before. Been noticing the "log in with your email" and havent done so yet. So you put your e-mail in there and log in with the impulse password? (yes I know this should probably be asked in Impulse forums but they seem to be swamped in complaints at the moment)

Ive tried both and still haven't been able to log in. Can't even log onto the impulse forums.

Worst case scenario is that you'll just use our upcoming Stardock Central system to get your stuff.  It's not very much like Impulse/Steam/Origin but instead just focused on getting your stuff to you really really fast and simply.  The ETA on that is in the next few weeks.

In the meantime, I'd contact Gamestop's support to see what the deal is.

I belive Gamestop changed the login procedure you need to enter your email you registered with and password, instead of your stardock nickname and password which it used to be, once I did that I found it worked fine. Unless of course you've forgotton your password in which case reset it.

Of course maybe you didn't register under the email you thought you did.

So ive been able to log onto impulse stuff now. But now its saying my registrations expiration dates are invalid. Wtf is up with this crap? One problem right after another?

Technically its a gamestop problem now not a stardock one. After all gamestop owns impulse, hell its not even called impulse anymore already.

As I have learned today. I signed up with Impulse because I wanted to trust digital distribution, and now I see the Gamestop logo every time I start it up. This industry certainly teaches a person the definition of irony.

Can you post a screenshot of this? I would be interested to know exactly what a registration expiration date is, and how such a thing might become invalid.

Let them know and they should be able to get it sorted out. This used to happen occasionally in odd situations. That message only really applied to things like Object Desktop.

Interesting...I saw that SDC is available, but I can't figure out how to download it.  The link just asks me to create a new account...also, when I log into the SD main forums, I can't make any posts...

 

Guess it's time to hit up support...

That could easily be the old, old pre-Impulse SDC, which you could still DL as of earlier this year.

I had similar BS with them over M&B Warband. In the end I could not update the game via Impulse and tech support was no help and told me to go talk to the developer of the game. Entered my code in the developers own download available and had no issues. Impulse is a joke and will never see another penny from me. If a game is not on Steam or GamersGate I don't buy it.
