Lack of people.

Is it just me, or does nobody ever use ICO? Every time I log in there's only 7-14 players online and all of them are already in a game and it really sucks! This post is me hoping I will get your attention and get ICO active so I can have fun playing online games, AI is boring.

What version of the game are you using? Most of the multiplayer crowd is on Diplomacy (though even there the community is a bit small), the others mainly just have friends playing with each other.

On Diplomacy in the evenings (or on the weekend) when people aren't at work/school there are often 30-60 people online.

But yes, lack of people is still a severe problem.

Vanilla Sins and Entrenchment are pretty dead for online multiplayer, and when there are people there it's almost all groups of friends playing comp stomps with few real games.  The good news is that there is action on the Diplomacy server though the player counts still aren't very high.  There's normally several 4v4 and 5v5 games every (North American) late afternoon and evening on the Diplomacy server.

Beware of minidumps and questionable characters, though.

Not as much as it used to.  If it does, it's usually very late game and superweapons are being sent off.  I'd say less than 10% of games end in Minidumps.

So it mini's when it's the WORST possible situation for it...

I wonder what version of my game is maybe it's the earliest or the original one with the intro being the virtuska imperial lab anyone knows what version it is?

Sounds like the first (or base) game. Trinity (which just Diplomacy renamed) is on sale on Steam and Rebellion is the latest which is stand alone and the best deal for upgrading.

I bet they are glad they waited a year to hear that response.
