Hoping I could help Greg but they are .png files and when I double click one it opens in PS. Can tell you this it wouldn't be a tiles thing as it has to be controled by the graphic program you use. You could right click on a graphic and go to open with and see if the program you wish to use is on the list. Now sure what program you are trying to get it to open in.

I have my file associations sent for png to my psp, but I'll check in some other spots as well. thanks for feedback Dave

Oh wait. Maybe you are talking about the .ini file if so do the same thing. Right click on it and open it with notepad. I'm guessing now as I don't really know what you are trying to open.

Try the right click on the graphic. Maybe it needs a push.

I couldn't figure it out either. The only thing I could suggest is to create a shortcut to the skin folders so you can edit the pngs directly in the graphics editor of your choice.

The path: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Stardock\Tiles

Dave, I can right click on the graphic and open it psp but clicking on the edit button defaults to ms paint. you can set this in sks but there doesn't appear to be that kind of control with tiles. wish I could delete MS paint but didn't see the program listed.

Tim, only if all else fails, thanks, as usual, for the tip.

I believe MS paint is hardwired into the OS like IE and can't be deleted.

You are correct with sks and tim is also correct as ms paint is hardwired so to speak.

It coul dbe vamps, kitty may not see this thread if she is busy. She makes tiles so may be a good idea to PM her and ask. I would but it's only a suggestion.

greg, i think i know what you mean, but i want to ask you something,

are you trying to make a new tile skin? if so, you create a new skin in the tile editor, and you can make your images in photoshop and save them in the new tiles skin folder and then import them from there into the tiles editor....

i hope that is what you meant......and i hope this helped... if not just tell me and ill try my best to help. andy will too, he is way more cluey than me

just starting out with tiles and I opened the default skin to look at the settings and such. When I click on the "edit" button to play around with one of the graphics it opens up in ms paint not psp. My default program setting for png files is psp but it doesn't appear to be the case for the tile's editor. couldn't find any settings within the editor like we have in SKS to set a default program. SKS would open in ms paint until one changes the settings and it seems that tiles may have the same issue without the ability to make the change?

so, are you able to open files from the editor or is it kind of a work around thing?

thanks for the bump up Tim.

edit: opening the file from explorer opens in PSP.
