What would anyone have against chickens.....they are delicious. Actually, they do not require massive amounts of care. Just a few basic things and they are good to go. They are one of the oldest sources of food and in ancient China, probably to this day, they roamed free by the thousands and were gathered up quite easily. The Chinese were eating chickens as long ago as 23 thousand years as chicken bones were found in what was called "chicken bone hill", which was a mountain about 8 miles outside of Beping. Inside this mountain, were found burial grounds with layer upon layer of dead, buried with live chickens,(so the dead would have food). Even back that long ago, these people were buried in fancy robes and wore jewelry......even that long ago they had attire that was quite stylish. Well, as usual, I have gone far afield here.
As to your chickens, go for it, they are rather pleasant creatures. They do not bark, or growl, or bite. They are just plain nice to have around, and you do not need a large space for them, wherever they are, they like it.
