had updated elemental to 1.4 started a new game on a 8x8 map extreme difficulty 15 opponents at 4.51pm,

played to turn 307 then CTD at 11.13pm,

checked for dump & zip in usual location (none found),

rared dxdiag, debug.err & save games folder
