Product Activation could not write the activation signature

Product Activation could not write the activation signature

Now What?

New Win7 x64 rig.  OD subscriber.  D/L'd & installed my apps from the store.  Ran WB, Fences & Tweak7 without any problems, each accepted my OD license key & activated post-haste.

Went to run SKS7 & got the above message when I clicked the 'Activate' button.  Anyone know what the fix is, before I submit a ticket?  I know, I'm lazy.  :grin:

You mentioned getting an auto-response to your email to support, is that still how it is supposed to work? I sent an e-mail to support last wednesday asking for an E-mail address change so I can purchase OD and did not receive an auto-response or a human one yet. If it's backlogged, I understand, but I want to make sure my message was received in case I need to resend my request.

The auto-response was not working over the weekend.  From what I know the support request were received but the auto-issuance of a ticket number did not go out. Your request and others affected are in the support queue.

DD -

Tickets submitted via esupport.stardock.com are handled that way, with an automated initial response.  If you sent an email to [email protected] not sure whether you'd get an automated reply initially or not.

Normally, when everything works, both avenues would receive an auto-response with a ticket number.

ok, as long as I know that it went through, I can wait; even though I'm Jonesing for the full versions and want to download more skins here than my "past Customer" status will allow. I wasn't aware of the download limit at first and grabbed a bunch of large DeskScape themes that really tore my download limit up.  :-"

That's correct, Russ's site isn't there anymore X( , so neither is the email account. I didn't receive any e-mail reply to the one I sent to support, nor a PM on the site here yet. I'll PM you the details.

Also an odd thing is that the PM I just sent you and the most recent previous one I sent to someone else on the 20th refuse to be 'marked as read' no matter how many times I read them. All previous PMs are marked as they should be, either reply, forward, or read. I also have not received any PMs since the 20th. Maybe my PMs are bugged, and that's why I never received a reply from support?

OK, Zu.  After following your instructions, the new SKS7 beta activated without issue.  Thanks for your patience.  Now to find some time to skin.

right-click on the applicatoin icon and choose "run as admin"

Having the exact same problem over the years. Running app as admin doesn't help (Win 7 64 bit). Also tried to activate with login info, but after the message about successfully registration appears - nothing changed at all. Any suggestions?
