[1.39] Can't select "Refined Arcana" tech

I have three magic techs researched. But I've gone up to level 5. I've been trying to select "refined arcana" I can select it and continue but it isn't added to my completed tech list and then the research moves on to the next level of research without giving me an earned tech for that level.

 

I went back and tried to select refined arcana and it did the same thing. I reloaded the save file and selected channeling. That worked! And it's in my completed tech.

 

So to summarize. Trying to select Refined Arcana doesn't work and the research will continue on to the next level.

I think that any tech named "refined something" can be researched over and over again for improved benefits.  For instance, "Refined Farming" would increase your food output by some percentage each time you research it.
