A mirror universe in the making?

Well, just as I thought the game can not throw at me any surprises my way, these came up:
Does anyone have alignment changes like this come up?
Oh yeah, I see this all the time, although not often with these particular races - usually, it's the Altarians, Drath, Korx, and Yor. It actually can have a pretty big impact on the game, given how much alignment affects diplomacy. The Drath had this happen to them in the Terran game I'm currently writing an AAR for, which has basically sealed their fate, as the only surviving evil race despises them and the Torians - the most powerful race in the game - are right next to them.
One game on DL actually had this happen five times: the Drath, Torians, and Iconians all turned evil - the latter two after allying with me, so it made little difference - and the Korx actually turned good and then turned evil again.
You know, for the first 6 months that I have beem playing Ultimate Edition, I never have those alignment changes before.
Now that I have them, they pop up ALL over the place!
