[1.39] Game freezes when you try to start a new game

Hello -

I tried to start a new game in 1.39. I step through the screens and after the last screen to select your opponents, the game just freezes. I hear background music, but the game never comes back. I've tried restarting the computer and restarting Elemental multiple times.

I have Windows 7.

After updating to 1.39 i had the issue where my game would not load at all, but i found out that was because i had my internet unplugged! I did not see any similar error to yours reported so far?

Most likely it is to do with your individual computer configuration. In your situation i might first try resetting my computer to the more stable default settings in Bios and graphics then see what happens? If that didn't work i might try and find out how to delete the game and re- download it, then if that failed i would post a DX and error reports here in the support forum.
