Successor to Impulse will be boring

Successor to Impulse will be boring

So Stardock is working on its successor to Impulse. As some of you know, Stardock sold Impulse to Gamestop this past spring.  Stardock is out of the digital distribution – for third parties – business.

So with the knowledge that we’ll only have our own stuff to purchase, download, and update, we’ve been building something new. And guess what? It’s practically invisible.  I don’t even have a cool screenshot to show you because, well, there’s not much there. It’s just about updating “your Stardock stuff”, largely automatically, largely in the background (all options of course).

Wondering why so many people have an issue with Gamestop. I never have. Great place to find games for my PSP.

It's not that I have an issue with GameStop.  However, I am not a gamer, as such, and Impulse is way more than I need just to update/restore my Stardock apps. I'd rather have an app along the lines of Stardock Central... without the glitz and flashy banners... something with a small footprint that updates my apps without being obnoxious.

I'd like to make one feature request I'd like to see kept in the new Stardock DD client.

I'd love to see you guys keep the video card updater that Impulse has.  That thing is useful.

As for Gamestop, now that a local indy gaming shop/arcade has opened in my area (if you're in the Greensboro area of NC- look up Lost Arc Video Games near UNCG- they're awesome)- I no longer have need to hit Gamestop, so KOFXIII is my last pre-order from Gamestop.  I only used them because it hurt me too much not to use them, despite the fact I think they rip people off.

The boring bit is the long wait for its release ;)

That suits me just fine. 5*

me too and hope there won't be a need to reinstall the programs, just login into the new app. .????

not being a gamer, guess uninstall impulse, but we'll have to see what is going to be the next solution. .
