Anyone knows how to use 3DS Max?

I am still learning this 3-Dimensional Software but I do not know how to put the Color on each Grid. Anyone knows how? Or at least a tutorial will help. Thanks!

Yes Youtube does, but they did not say/show how to texture a grid.

And I use XSI to convert the files that I created from 3DS Max.

Like this:

File created from 3DS Max will be export as .OBJ

.OBJ file will convert to .XSI using XSI Software

convert .XSI file using ConvertXSI to .MESH

That is how I use to convert it.   Three procedures to make it mesh. Ahahaha!

My Ship does not shows anything, I mean after I build it, it goes invisible.

And the convertXSI tells me this too:
C:\Users\National Security\Desktop\ForgeTools 3\ConvertXSI>convertxsi ship002.xsi ship0
02.mesh
Ignoring unknown material type (24): DefaultLib.wire_086086086
Valid Material not found for PolygonList: DefaultLib.wire_086086086
Bounding Information Calculated - Radius:-1.00
Optimizing...
Pre-Optimization Vertex Count = 0
Post-Optimization Vertex Count = 0

Well, before begin to think texturing, check your model... the model is not invisible, it simply don't exist !!!

A model with 0 vertex and a negative value for the bounding is simply not possible...

For info, if you have made your models using bolean, nurbs or any other special method, you need to convert the model to polygone before convert it... if some poly use the hole/transparent attribute, these poly will be discarted during the convert...

But I have the model which has the polygon values.

However when I save that it let me chooses either save it as ASCII values or Binary Values, so which should it be? From what I know it should be binary but still I save it as ASCII.
