[1.39] Units dont move on end turn

This might be something that never was implemented ( cant remember honestly its been a long time since i played) but i installed this version and units that i give a move order (and then click end turn) wont move

my thinking is if they have move points left and a order to move they should move ? yes ? diddent they used to do this in old versions ?

Hmm, playing my first game on 1.39, and I have 3 units with available move points, none of which have a destination set.  I move one, and the game skips to the next turn, not giving me a chance to move the others.  Seems like the opposite of what you're reporting, but maybe a related problem.

I know precisely what the problem is.... the auto select next unit doesn't work properly, never has. It usually works ok towards the beginning of the game, but after a while it starts screwing up and forgetting some units that are waiting for orders while showing you all the units that already have move orders!! It has been going on in all the older versions of the game i have played, so presumably Brad finally shot this lame horse in the head in version 1.39 rather than fix it.

The problem is that as annoying as the old system was, it is definitely better than nothing in 1.39!!!!

Thanks for the response.  I tried turning off the auto-turn, and that improved the situation a lot.

Having the same problem.  Looking into it. That's why there was no update this week, still trying to figure it out.  This is kind of a "gotta fix before another update goes out"

Also noticed that it seems tech advances (both mundane and magical) seem to be delayed a turn before they come out, at least visually- the bar fills, but you don't get the advance until the next turn.  It happens randomly, and seemed to happen more towards the end of game.  Maybe this is a related issue?

Yes, I'm seeing that too.  Also the fact that the zone of influence seems to move out (resources on the edge of your influence become available) but the zone is not shown as having moved until the next turn.

I also have the tech delayed issue, but for me it is EVERY time there is a tech upgrade.

Fantastic!

Units with move orders are supposed to come last in the auto select next unit feature, but that rule has never been entirely consistent in previous versions .... in other words, sometimes units without orders are left out or show up after units with orders. This glitch means most people will be forced to go thru all the units with orders just to be sure.

In view of above, i for one would be happy to see units with orders completely excluded from the auto next unit feature.... also perhaps this will help it to function better??

Edit: hmmm, actually i'm thinking the auto select next unit never did select units with orders..... I'm just so used to doing it manually, there was little distinction in my mind between the two! (this is inclusive of previous versions). Yea, now i remember.... the auto next unit frequently 'stalls', that is why I'm always hitting the manual next unit button.
