New to MP, need practice buddy.

Hi all.

I am new to multiplayer, but fairly experienced as far the core game mechanics go. I am looking for a good practice buddy to bash heads with, and to play against other players and computers.  I can be reached by pm on here, and i shall be checking back for replies every couple of hours. I've been playing multiplayer off and on for about a month and have become pretty decent at it, I think. Some of the players online don't seem to be all that friendly to newbies, unfortunately (most of the others have been playing for years), but I'd love to play and share the tips I've learned! It can be hard just getting started when nearly everyone you play is leagues better than you.

I'm new to mp as well. Looking to play online with noobish people too and get my skills up, aka I don't know any stupid tricks or cheap haxing yet. Hit you up on the weekend if you are still up for it.

If there is a proposed time I might be able to join in with the 'newbies' crew. I haven't played online in nearly a year and a half. Mostly our game crew I normally LAN with plays against a mix of a few hards with one or two Unfairs thrown in from time to time.

 

Any requested game speeds? I know a lot of people online play Faster, usually we play Normal to try and help with LAG between some of our slower computers.

I was actually going to post a thread more or less identical to this within the next day  ^_^

 

In all seriousness GLAGS, I'd be happy to play alongside you and the others that have posted here thus far.  I've never played with/against another human in SOASE, so we'll see how well that goes lol.  I do however know the mechanics of the game to the point where I've come up with strategies/tactics used successfully in MP even when against a clearly OP unit/ability.  For this reason, I should be able to do pretty well myself.

 

I'd still obviously recommend that we start on comp stomps simply to learn the dynamics of playing with other people.  I'm free on saturdays and some times on sundays as a general rule and am free on an evening-by-evening based on my homework situation for the night.
