new similar game
In case FE turns out to be a dismal product like WOM (which i doubt) there is a new game on the horizon.

It has been mentioned in the Disappointing GamesCon thread already. Although a dedicated thread about them wouldn't hurt.
There is also Masters of a Broken World, and don't forget Heroes VI will be out before too long. Derek's gotta step it up.
Honestly though both seem like they will be worse then FE, but then again it's a little hard to tell so early on in their development.
I agree, FE seems quite far ahead of those two titles. But we'll see.
Heroes VI on the other hand seems to be getting a positive buzz in the HoMM community. But it doesn't really compete in the same category as FE.
This thread doesn't really belong in the Elemental discussion. We already have a thread for it in the PC Gaming forum.

I'll be watching for news of this game. And it's from Paradox no less! Though it looks like might be 1 Unit Per Tile. But maybe they can avoid the tactical lockdown of Civ5's carpet of doom. I like the idea of hex maps. But was really hoping for tactical battles ala Age of Wonders. A cross between Civ4 and AoW. With full blown empire building along with all out tactical battle. E:WOM failed. Perhaps Warlock: Master of the Arcane will be able to pull it off. Funny how the name plays with on both Master of Magic and Elemental: War of Magic. Maybe other devs will be like "Heh, lots of people fell in love with the idea of E:WOM. Then were left wanting when it bombed. We can do better. And thanks to E:WOM, we know there is a viable niche for this particular game. Let's do it. We can't do any worse than they did." ;~p
I'm a tad interested in Heroes VI. But this is Ubisoft. They like you to logon every time you play the game. We'll see. For now the game is in the back of my mind and I'll wait till the early adopters have had a couple months to test it out. I have hope to enjoy this game, but little faith that Ubisoft won't plug it full of holes.
