Fuzzy and Wizard, did you guys use the Impulse update or the Stardock site update?

Impulse, and I verified the install afterwards.

This is an FYI, I just updated using Impulse, rebooted and it opened up with Windows Classic and I could not change it to another skin, but don't panic.  Change it to Windows Aero first and once that applies you than can change it to any skin that you have.  :sun:

Wizard, I use transparceny on the inactive windows and don't see any text issues, don't know what to say. :S

I running WB's 7.3 after the update.  :-"

I just updated and have the same problem can't change the skin. Updated through ImpluseX( 8C >:(

opens with Windows Classic only whats up.

so does this mean that only those who use Impulse to get the update will have no problems?

LeeDee see reply #6 above.  :sun:

@ Philly. Apply any explorer background and add some transparency.

Open Libraries and do a search of something.

Quite a bit of the text is transparent.

Depending on the background wall or window it varies from annoying  to unusable.

Just to add, I had the same results as reply 6 with first launch.

There does seem to a problem.  I just rebooted to see if WBs would load the skin I was running and it came up with Windows Classic so I do believe there is a problem and I'm going to take it that those who need to know are aware and are preparing a fix.  I had to do what I explained in reply #6 above in order to get the WBs I was running before the reboot.  :S

I thought i did something wrong so i guess we have to wait until it is resolved.

Has anybody tried updating WITHOUT Impulse?  I got rid of Impulse when ID told us we could, but I don't want to update to this beta if it's not ready for use yet.

Looks like those that have replied here have used Impulse.  Go ahead and try the Stardock Store link and let us know what happens.  :-"

I would hold of updating or at least make sure you archive before updating.  After updating I also had some issues and reverted back to an archive I made prior to updating.
