Sins of a Solar Empire: Trinity/Diplomacy v1.32 Change Log

Stardock Entertainment and Ironclad Games are pleased to announce the release of Sins of a Solar Empire: Trinity/Diplomacy v1.32. The update is now available for all registered customers via the Impulse client (http://www.impulsedriven.com). Special thanks to all the gamers who provided feedback for this patch!

NOTE:  THIS UPDATE WILL BREAK OLD SAVE GAMES AND REPLAYS.


 

[ Gameplay ]

TEC:

  • Fixed autocasting on Worthy Cause envoy ability. It will no longer target the player’s own planets (as intended).
  • Fixed the Trade Pact so that cargo ships get their HP bonus as intended
  • Corrected TEC Siege Frigate research time to match its tier
  • Corrected TEC Wormhole Travel research time to match its tier
  • Corrected the Catastrophe Recovery research time to match its tier
  • Corrected the Advanced Arctic Colonies research time to match its tier
  • Corrected the Nuclear Smelting research time to match its tier
  • Switched the TEC planetary shield buff priority to keep it from creating non-stop entity counts


Advent:

  • Illusionary squadrons will no longer give bounty or XP
  • Updated the Shield Pact to grant +15% to max shield points and +15% phase missile block (from 10%)
  • Corrected the modifier on Cultural Assistance to correctly increase the planet upgrade build rate
  • Corrected the Advent Wormhole Travel research time to match its tier


Vasari:

  • Fixed the Pricing Pact to correctly make purchasing resources cheaper
  • Updated the Phase Jump Pact so that two Vasari players can now share one another’s phase node networks


General:

  • Reduced the AI Relationship bonus growth rate for Unfair, Cruel and Vicious AI types
  • Reduced overall AI Relationship growth rate from 0.0003 to 0.0002 per second
  • Fixed a crash related to bombing planets
  • Increased Deconstruction rate from 30 hp/sec to 50 hp/sec
  • Updated Deconstruction autocasting to only target structures that have no weapons
  • Military Actions are now counted regardless of location as intended. Previously they would only count in neutral gravity wells, which made the stat not update as designed. 
  • Military Actions formula corrected to now be based off fleet supply/100 for ships
  • Military Actions is now capped at +3.0 from +5.0
  • The game will now cache rolls for player missions so that the AI no longer randomly decides to reject missions part way in
  • Players will now be able to offer the AI resource missions as soon as they've researched the required tech
  • Fixed lag issue that some players would see when a mission was completed by any player
  • Players will now automatically break Pacts when they die


[ Sound ]

  • Mission completion/failure for player missions will no longer trigger completion/failure sound effects


[ Modding ]

  • Added a new AIAutocastUseTargetCondition – HasNoWeapons
  • Hooked up the min/max pirate supply numbers in gameplay.constants


[ Misc. ]

  • Removed an old assert for envoys (only noticeable with the dev .exe)
  • Removed a dead entity in the entity manifest

Yeah i know,

 

Just seems odd that we had better experience, gaming wise, on second installation of 1.21 ?

The other weird thing is that it does not always produce minidumps in the game, so we can't always send them to stardock for them to look at it.

The last session we had, with the new 1.21 install was that we had 4 sessions and no drama at all on the settings we had.

So we do try and reproduce the results as much as we can.

If you're thinking we have illegal copeis, no, our copies are bought copies through impulse ages ago.

 

We keep copies via impulse backup and through normal backup copies.

Hi everyone,

 I know this is probably a pretty noob question, but seeing as to how I am a noob then there shouldn't be a problem. All I want to know is how to install this upgrades, I have Impulse installed, and I can see my purchased SoaSE games in the list there, I just don't know how to upgrade them to this new version; I just bought Trinity and haven't even donwloaded it yet because I have to upgrade my original game. Someone please help! Thanks!!!

If you click Diplomacy/Trinity under you games and hit the update button on the lower right, it should automatically install everything you need (AKA all the games) to there most recent versions. That should be all you need to do.

Reinstalled a number of times, fresh, still no luck.

As I said before, we done all the usual routine of uninstalling/removing etc.

One thing I forgot to mention is that the game video settings we have is on all medium settings, because we found that best to play on.

@FrznMD - The original game is still at 1.191. Check the lower right half of the menu to see if this is correct. If you installed off of Impulse, it is automatically updated. Trinity will also be updated when you install it plus you will have the original (Which is part of Trinity. Original/Entrenchment/Diplomacy all three in one, hence the name Trinity.)

I found 2 bugs playing with advent. I have a string not found with icons. I use the official french trinity translation, not an home made found on the web.

Yeah the French translation has some issues. Sounds like the company Stardock got to translate the game (into French at least) has for whatever reason not translated the new text added in these patches. :S

Sova is no more OP (assuming you're playing on a map w/ close starting points here) than the Marauder for hitting you hard in the early game. Careful with this one or you'll just have Advent demanding an economy crippler (hah! maybe in rebellion?).

I managed to get the Trinity Pack with Diplomacy and Entrenchment as bonuses, but I can only update Trinity.

Diplomacy-v1.000

Shouldn't I be able to update the non-Trinity versions?

Well considering all of those are out of date you apparently haven't updated at all. If you update Trinity/Diplomacy it should update the rest of them automatically.

It should be noted that Trinity contains Sins and it's two expansions (Entrenchment / Diplomacy). If you start up Impulse it will automatically update these for you.

If there isn't enough booty on the table, the Pirates will send out a smaller fleet.

 

 

Dont be embarrassed about it, pirates, thats a totally natural physiological reaction, it has happened to me a lot in those cases...

 

lol, sorry i am not a native speaker so i just realized for the first time, the word was used correctly here. Actually i did only know exactly one use of this word up to now. So a bad joke will have to do. ;D

C'est délibérément que je vais répondre à ton appel en Français... Le manuel de la version française n'hésitant pas à nous inviter sur ce site, il n'y a aucune raison de se forcer à s'exprimer dans une autre langue...

J'ai acheté (et découvert) ce jeu samedi dernier. Ayant acheté un jeu en langue française, j'ai été réellement déçu de m'apercevoir dès la mise à jour que la version francophone était truffées de problèmes. J'ai tenté de réinstaller le jeu pour jouer en version 1.00 mais, le jeu plantait régulièrement à cause (d'après mes recherches sur la toile) d'une sombre histoire de minidump.

Je me suis finalement résolu (après une re mise à jour) à traduire les nombreuses (mais malheureusement pas exhaustives) lignes manquantes du fichier string pour rendre le jeu à peu près jouable, mais ne connaissant rien du jeu et de son univers, j'ai pu faire des erreurs de traduction. Par ailleurs il me manque encore pas mal de strings du menu diplomatique, mais je ne suis pas certain que la version anglaise soit elle-même au point à ce sujet car je n'ai pas réussi à trouver les lignes correspondantes dans le fichier.

Quoiqu'il en soit, je peux, si tu le souhaites, te transmettre mon fichier string, qui m'a rendu le jeu un peu plus confortable.

Apologies to our French and German Sins players. We're still waiting on translation updates from Kalypso.  I will probably try and set aside some time with Google Translate to speed this along for everyone.
