This is gettin ridiculous...You´re one of the Best skinners around Elsius.

Fine job of tweaking I'm a fellow tweaker too, only I have to go the other way - Win7 to XP.  And sometimes XP to XP just for pickiness and entertainment.  Tweaking is good clean fun 

It would be nice if the Original Author of the skins was credited in these 'remakes'.

True...the casual site visitor may think YOU actually CREATED the skin. RADICAL difference between creation and imitation...

I know I get better everytime. I don't make skins, I don't want to, and never will  . I only upgrade. What I do is for fun only. I need no title. I don't want to be master or slave   I'm Elsius Saint I'm not even looking for download counts or anything. I barely mentioned his name before. It's a crime not to know about him - He is what he is. It's skinning 101 . I want people to look for him and find out he's only even better. He's the best.

Since I´m beeing only a year old here there are still alot to learn for me, And I am doing my best to catch up with the rest.... My Beloved Kittykuns explained to me that that skin wasn´t Elsius own....Which I did not realize Until JAFO mentioned it !! So now I´ve learned some bits more then...

I always made clear I'm no skinner Never want to be seen as one I'll accept 'Best "Tweakers" around' though the talent causes me to be hated by most, even my silent friends. Then again Neone6, you'll be better than me in one week if not already. If elsius can do it, everyone can do it

And THAT is why we're so adamant that people respect others' creative Copyright and credit their work so there is no confusion.

If that cannot be done then the thead/s can be removed.

Simple thing...mention the original artist and/or leave a link to the original skin.

I have updated the description. I put pixtudio because they have worked as a group - Alexandrie and Treetog. You're cool I don't mind being criticized. You and snowman do it with the right personalities. Don't let the system swallow you.

While I made it clear I'm not into skinning, not a skinner, and I'm only having some fun. I can't hide the talent and so I'm hated for it (even by friends). People are jealouse and with hate taking over them, they are looking for any mistakes, things that I'm not too careful about so the can lynch mob me. "It’s been told that it was forged by " Most probably get it, but people use things as excuse to come after me If I had done everything right, they'd look for other things or ignore everything. There are still some great people here. I'll admit a few people may not know this skin because it's very old. This skin remains the most well known skin on the planet. This is not one of the skin one would want to pass as their own. More money, more problem. The better the talent gets, more problem . These old skins still deserve the love than most of the newest masterskins. I would rather spend time with them. I'm not a skinner, just having some fun

Confused. Is the skin-update available somewhere or is all this fuss made about a screenshot ? And yes, if one updates a skin she/he should know what it's name is.

That's very true. I love what WebGizmos Has done with Winstep for these old skins.

I disagree when you say you aren't a skinner. You obviously have the understanding and skill to update "Universe Metal".

Maybe you'd enjoy contacting the old timers and getting permission to update their skins...

Yes, all the fuss is about a screenshot of a misnamed and uncredited 'port' which is NOT being displayed in the 'Monthly Desktop Screenshots' thread as others do.

EVERY month a thread [sticky] is posted for 'current' desktop images such as this one.  I fail to see why one individual sees the need to be so 'separatist'.
