[Bug][Gameplay] Unit building requirements not working properly.

Just got version 1.3 Started a new game and researched 'equipment'. Created a unit with cloth head, chest, and leg gear and a pointy stick. For some reason the mats and gold required to build the unit is not translating correctly into the training unit tab  in the city UI. It seems to think i'm trying to train a group whereas I am only training a single person.

In 1.3 the minimum size of units you can train has been increased to 4.

This is not supposed to effect pioneers but sometimes it will try to build them as size 4.

Really? That kind of screws building troops early to defend against wandering monsters leaving your first city to be conquered very quickly. : /

Yeah, you're forced to keep your SOV nearby until you can marshall a garrison.

Which means you're forced to choose your sovereigns stats according to being a fighter, not a magic user. And forces you to buy equipment early on. What's the point in choosing your stats then? Were there a lot of players even requesting this??

or with the first city levelup, you choose the spawn random defender.

i was looking for someone to post about this. i saw this while playing (after getting a much better computer) and i was very upset. i really dont see the point in taking away the ability to make a single unit, in the beginning or otherwise. this should be changed. soon.

Yes, well I think I'm going to edit that feature right back out of my game.  I created a Scout unit (which is fairly expensive when you're just starting out) and don't want four of them.

The culprit file is C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock Games\Elemental\data\English\CoreUnitGroupingTypes.xml (on my computer) and the coding that needs to be removed is:

-<Prereq>

 <Type>Tech</Type>

 <Target>Player</Target>

 <Attribute>Invalid</Attribute>

 <Value>0</Value>

 </Prereq>

under

-<UnitGroupingType InternalName="UnitGroupingType_Single">

FYI

PS.  This doesn't appear to work in saved games, but it seems effective for new ones.

- I wouldn't mind it if they would reduce the materials requirements across the board.

- Pioneers could be a group of people if they allowed them to be unarmed so we didn't have to pay for the club.

- I'd also like to see all the icons shifted left one so that the icon with the silhouette of one head isn't used anymore. If you can't make individual units, then that icon is no longer appropriate.
