Stardock Support

I tried to send a mail to them and received a mail back that my email was filtered out because it was spam, when I was asking about a legit problem that I am still having.

Since they won't help me, here it is:

The game won't play offline, it tells me I need to download a data file in order to play it and I have satellite internet so it cant be a constant connection.

That isn't supposed to appear unless you're playing a beta version. Are you on version 1.30?

Agree with above.  Off line playing on NON - beta versions of EWoM should work.  Mine do.

As far as customer support goes, I had a terrible time getting EWoM registered and loaded via the web, when the web access PC was a different PC than the one running EWoM.  Their email system returned my 3rd request for help because it was rude, derogatory, or something like that.  All I did was suggest that the person helping me did not have the expertise, experience, or whatever to resolve my issue, and could I please be assigned to some one else.  In any case, I really do believe SD Customer service does try to do well.  They just have some 'innacurate' fliters in place filtering their incoming email.

You might want to be a little more tact when posting on Stardock's own forum.

was filtered out because it was spam

The firewall is not support. If you're getting blocked and your mail is free of profanity or other words which might have triggered it, you may also talk to support directly on IRC during business hours. You can also open a support ticket directly on the support site without using email.

In any case, as others have noted, only beta updates require online connectivity to play. If you're on the release version, you should be able to run offline.

It was the 1.2f and then again on the 1.3 version, already tried in the irc and they told me to email support and then I posted here because neither helped. There was no profanity in my message just a short message descibing my problem...
