[1.2f] Still Getting Weird Graphical Errors

When I try to play the game I am still getting these weird graphical errors that I have been getting since 1.1. Like huge black lines and chunks of terrain missing, I am playing on min settings to keep the speed as fast as possible. I am not sure what is wrong because all of my graphical drivers are up to date and everything.

Any help?

What card are you using?   Can you attach a dxdiag log to your post (instructions are in the sticky in this forum for what information Stardock might need).

It sounds like it is very likely a problem specific to your card (either drivers or heat issues), but to rule this out, it would be good to see what version of shaders you're using, and what the capabilities of your card are.

Also, have you sent an e-mail to [email protected] they are typically good at getting problems like this solved.  (though it may take a few days to get back to you).

I am working with what my laptop's got which is a Integrated Intel Graphic Media Accelerator X3100. The drivers are up-to-date.

Looks like you are on Shader 3.0, so that should be okay.   Integrated graphics are always a little tricky to get working with games, and it can vary game to game about what works and what doesn't.   Have you run anything like 3dMark vantage to see if you run into any problems with it?   It might help you flush out if this is limited to Elemental or a general card problem.

Look for your debug.err file. It is located in My Documents\My Games\Elemental.   It may have some indications about what is going on.  It would be helpful to post it to this topic.  or at least link to it (note this file gets overwritten everytime you play, so post it right after seeing the problem so that it may still have some helpful information in it.)

Follow this post by Cari Elf (Stardock) https://forums.elementalgame.com/391297  about getting help.   You could try to get them on irc and see if they can help you.   They are pretty responsive when you contact them that way.
