Is it just me, or does it read like there's a missing page 2? It just kind of stops.

Interesting article but it felt like it was unfinished and left me wanting more.

There is a part 1 in the title so maybe it's not done yet?

Still reads like fluff to me. Why bother with vague generalities like that? It doesn't say a thing to those of us who were around before the first WoM betas, nor does it seem to offer anything that might get the interest of someone who just now heard of Elemental. I'm not afraid of the sausage factory, but I'm not at all interested in what sausage factory reviewers might think.

Basically, I'd rather not see Derek wasting time with 'media' if we're not going to get concrete details about design choices. With the decision to forgo a box on the shelves, it seems like peer-to-peer conversations will be the deciding factor, not the low-content typing of folks trying to hold down a job at a web site.

Just messing with ya :P

I agree, it was so general and unnecessary.

Yes, but my bitching about it isn't really necessary either... :-|

Especially when there are important things to worry about like getting some dental care for skinny blokes who stand in intersections.
