Smallville: Phoenix
How to kill Superman, a step by step demo
But this episode has some troubling idiocies. For one thing, when Clark's parents are held at gun point, Clark literally demonstrates in front of them how to kill him. He actually gets a piece of kryptonite and puts it near him and then takes a knife and cuts himself to provide the bad guys with a sample of his blood (what they were ostensibly demanding). DUH? DUHHH???
There are two rules in the universe. The first rule is, if someone asks if you are a god, you say YES. The second is, if you are Superman, you do not give home demonstrations of how to kill you. Through some unlikely plot contrivances, Clark manages to except and all but 1 person who knows his secret manages to get themselves killed.
By contrast, Lex Luthor manages to make it apparent why he's the smart one of the show. He figures out exactly what happened in last season's climax. His wife tried to off him. No wonder he turns bad, this guy has gotten dealt an awful set of cards in life.
The only good to come out of it was the long wanted break up of Clark and Lana, the show's melodramatic couple. On a scale from 1 to 10, I give it a 5. It entertained me but Clark's stupidity left me baffled.
