Memory Leak 1.2a

What's with the continued memory leak/crash after all this time?? It's been present since day 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Instead of adding new things, how about you actually FIX problems first!! I have 16mb of ram. I should never and have never had a memory problem, except with this game. It makes it completely unplayable when you get a out of memory crash to desktop every 3 turns late in the game.

Get off your lazy asses and fix it.

OH!!! Is that all they have to do to fix stuff? Get off their lazy asses! Man, that is genius! :|

Seriously man, do you have any clue how difficult it is to code a game that works with all the different combinations of hardware and software available??? These problems aren't because of perceived laziness. To use the old cliche, the problem is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. If you have paid any attention to these forums, the devs have been working very hard to make this game great and have really made great strides. I suggest you send them your debug information and craft a halfway intelligent post detailing your system info and description.

Cheers

First, as I said, this leak has been around since day 1. Almost 1 yr later and it has not been fixed. Sorry ..no excuse for that.  Secondly, I can't include a debug because this "out of memory" crash doesn't create one.  I am not the only 1 to complain that it this leak is making this game unplayable. There are a lot. Therefore fixing the leak to make it playable for all those that purchased the game and can't play it should be a priority.  NOT making an expansion. Frankly sick of companies taking our money and putting out such buggy programs.  And this one has been incredibly buggy since day 1.

Lastly, not once in my long history of playing games have I had a "out of memory" problem.  I have played many, many games on many many computers.  If it's SOOOOO difficult to program/fix, why has no other company/program had the problem to this extent?

Upload your data file containing the relevent information, and I'm sure they'll get to solving the issue.

Also, you say "a lot" of complaints are going on about the memory leaks? I check these forums every day. I do not see "a lot". Rarely do I see such things now days, granted I do not read every post that there is however. I myself haven't had an out of memory leak in many builds. The game runs smooth for me. Perhaps it is your hardware and/or software configurations? Anyway.. The seeming fact that you have played many, many games on many many computers, and not had a problem..to expect that to always be the case is a fallacy. The law of averages dictate that sooner or later, you'll find an issue. Coding is a difficult process, with such large amounts of information, some things are bound to fall between the cracks here and there. Perhaps your particular computer configuration just happens to be one of those that missed a step. Either way, just my opinion on the matter. Again, upload your game data, and someone at Stardock will take a look at it.
