Diplomacy above 10.0?

Hi,

 

I have recently got back into Sins and been playing Diplomacy.

For the life of me I can not find the answer here or anywhere on google.

 

My diplomatic standing with most remaining races is at 10.0.

Donating resources wont get it any higher, yet I can not make Pacts until I have higher standing.

 

How on earth do I do this, or do I have to use the Envoys?

You have to use envoys to get above 10.0, it's the only way.

With researching certain research you can raise your diplomacy rating by giving them some money. This is only temporary though and it works only for really small amount. 0.04 point or so.

That won't go over the 10 cap.

I do think that when I was going for pacts feeding ally helped me get there faster.

I might be mistaken though.

Yeah, it will get you too the 10 cap faster. (It's quite good at that with the research.) Just not over.
