New noob game of Dominions 3

Not going anywhere for awhile?

Basically this is for all the players that wish they could of been in the first dominion 3 game and missed the chance or had some bad luck and were knocked out of the first game.

Guidelines:

               1) yea,its a noob game,so lets see if we can keep it to under 10 MP games played. Naturally exceptions can be made hence the guidelines category. just please be honest and state your experience level upfront.

               2) We'll vote on a map to use and what mods if any.

               3) Feel free to suggest away here,I'm just starting the bandwagon not trying to be the band leader.

Hey Wonderloss, could you postpone hosting by 12 hours? I should be able to access my network from class and install Dom on my laptop (I don't know why I jhavemt yet) to get my turn in, but just in case...

Has any effort been made to find a sub for shadow? If he is out, is there someone who could take over as admin? Could you do it bpalczewski?

Thank you kindly. Transferring the install file now, but my home connection has a measly upload rate of about 100kb/s. I checked with those few people I know who play dominions, but none have the time to sub :(

I do not know any people playing Dom except you guys :) so i can't help with sub ..

Guys, i have a feeling that game is slowly dying, that is, there is no more interest in it .. Shadow is out, which destroys the balance of a game, nobody is willing to pick up in his place, turns don't come in anymore, stalls etc. Are you sure guys you want to continue?

What do you propose regarding Ulm?

Wait till we find someone? Switch to AI?

Well Abysia is pretty much dead, so I don't have much of a voice here...

But I hope y'all continue on.  I'm very curious to see who comes out on top in this one.

Since I doubt you guys want the game to end, and there is not a clear winner at this point, I can try to sub for Ulm.

On a related note, is there anyone here that could sub for Lanka in Elementalists?

Hello, Folks!

Sorry to disturb your thread but it's a noob question so you'll forgive me. :blush:

I'm about to start my first MP game of Dominions 3 somewhere else: thus I have downloaded the mods, created the "mods" directory and activated them, I have downloaded the map files and put them in their directory, I have created the pretender with the Game Tools and given it a password. According to the guys planning the show, my last thing to do is send the pretender's file by email to the guy holding the server.

 

The problem:
I can't find where the pretender file is located on my hard drive! x_x
They told me there should be at C:\ Program Files \ Dominions3 \ savedgames \ newlords
but there are no "savedgames \ newlords" files.
They told me to create them and then try again to create a pretender: I did and no file appeared.

 

Can someone just tell me where the pretender file is located, please?
I am on Windows Vista and the search engine doesn't seem to work.

Try the following: \Users\[name]\AppData\Local folder

or \VirtualStore\Program files (x86)\Dominions3

The very attempt to break the last siege did not go well for Abysia army, and entire nation of Sauromatia is found with ambiguous feelings. On one hand, the joy of victory is tangible, on the other hand, a respect for opponent forces a restraint in celebrations ... War is alway an ugly affair, and a peace preferred choice, however, in this complex world war somewhat seem to never stop ... Respect, then, and gratitude for some lessons (arggh this first battle in the capital...) go to Abysia.

Gentlemen,  I have been unable to do my last few turns.   I recently switched to a new PC.  I donated my older one to a non-profit group.  I have not been able to find my DOm 3 disk -and 60 dollars is too much to spend to replace it.  So, please find a sub for me.  I apologize for the hassle.

I think this game may need to be put on hold. I will be out of town next week. I am having trouble finding a temp sub for this game. We also need to find a permanent sub for Elana. What do you guys think of putting thing on hold and taking a couple weeks to find the new Neifelheim player?
