Ship Design Glitch

Ok, So the other day i was playing a normal non-campaign game and i made my own custom race and got pretty far blah blah blah.... But after saving the game and shutting it off, i come back to find the game changed my ship designs! I chose the Yor style of ships and it changed it to Korath Style. It does this to every game no matter which race i choose (Original or Custom). Is it defaulting to another ship style? i notice with the terrans it switches to thalan (ironic huh?) and is there a way to keep my original ship style choices?

When you change ship style, you effectively filter out all your previous style's ship designs.

Is there any steps i can take to prevent the game from changing the ships looks? I would like to save my game as the terrans and not come back to see my ships looking like thalan ships.
