less waiting time for technology

currently the amount of turns it takes for any  beginner to get  a new technology without any bonuses is about 17 to 19 turns, while I understand this amount of time was similer in galciv, you could easily  turn up reseach in the city budget menu here you have no options.

I propose a significant decrees in the amount of turns before a breakthrough..at leaat in thhe beginning of the game , this way the player can get to actually building an armory. however I am uncetain what would be a reasonable decrease and wht would be flat out cheap.

what are the commintys thoughts ?

fyi I enjoy this game  otherwise I would not have gone out to blow almost fifty dollers on knowing the issues that this game had  when first released

The option to change how fast tech is researched exists. When starting a new game, change pacing to fast.

yeah I know, I was just thinking or breakthrough durations I actually like normally pacing but waiting sevetn turns at the beginning just to do something is a bit frustrating.

and by something I mean reaserching spells building an  army  doing some diplomacy

The spacing is OK...  what I would like to see is the possibility of using start up points to 'purchase some tech to start with.  That way ... everyone gets something they want / need to begin with...   I like the long lead times between tech advances because you then have opportunity to 'play' with the units /spells of that tech level.  But starting the game with almost none... well, that just bites.
