How to properly lock an article to prevent “pesky, annoying, ignorant” comments

I have come across come people on Joeuser.com who seem to dislike to have others post comments on their articles which contradict their points of their articles. Makes no sense why they post articles in the first place if they don’t want to be told anything to the contrary to what they write but since they do I have a suggestion on how to avoid getting opposing thoughts and opinions posted on their articles.

Easy as pie:

 

You simply need to uncheck the “Allow users to comment” box as seen above and the result is a msg on the article that states “This article has been locked and is not accepting comments” as seen on my article here so that way you can keep those pesky, annoying, ignorant members of Joeuser.com from contradicting your opinions.

I hope this will make it easier for some here so they don’t feel their opinions are being stepped on and questioned. just keep in mind if you don’t uncheck that box, expect to have you opinions questioned, dissected and debated, which is what I thought was the point of Joeuser blogs anyways.

Yes, I guess we are all computers and always speak facts and never speak opinions.  But you are wrong again.  WHile most of the article is opinion, there are several very salient facts listed throughout.  You just do not know the difference.

If there are any facts liusted above, you sure have hidden them from me ... would you care to site one or two perhaps? So I repeat ..."Doc, This article contains just about as many facts as well ... as all your comments do ... ZIP!" It is always I cannot prove anything and you don't have to, go figure?

No - Fact, the spelling is mostly correct. Fact, there is much name calling above. Fact, there are many claims about facts, but there aren't any real facts. Fact, there is little if any intelligence for this whole whiney article. How about getting serious for a change?

LOL, figured you couldn't answer the question without insulting someone. Fact, no one gives a dam about your spell check abilities. Fact, you are the queen of name calling and insults. Fact, you are too stupid to see facts or accept them when they contradict you opinions. Fact, there seems to be more intelligence on this article alone than most of yours. Hows about you grow up and respond like an adult for a change? Only children get annoyed about silly things like this, you get annoyed about things waaay to easily.

there's no more need to argue DrGuy, her stupidity has shined thru today beyond any reasonable doubt.

E = mc^2 \,\!

where E is energy, m is mass, and c is the speed of light in a vacuum. The formula is dimensionally consistent and does not depend on any specific system of measurement units.
