Anyone interested in a Dominions 3 Newb game?**Running**

i would be interested.   I have never played beyond 3 or 4 moves,always solo....  definately interested in a friendly game,not acutthroat game.   However, I am in chicago for another two weeks, and c annot play untilI return home .

It would not surprise me if it takes that long to get setup, so no problem waiting. I will put you on THE LIST.

I'm in, though I don't "technically" have internet at the moment. I have a mickey-mouse setup that gives me enough of a connection for forum browsing, but not enough for dedicated play. Come May 4th, I'll have it fixed.

Edit: I just noticed I don't have Dom3 installed on this comp at the moment. I'll have to see if I brought my disk with me or if the movers put it in storage. (I'm between houses at the moment... sold ours, and don't get possession of the one we've bought until the end of summer )

I would love to join!  I love Dominions, but I mostly play single player, and usually don't get much beyond 20 or so turns.  I've only ever played one MP game before, and I was the first one eliminated, so I think I still count as a newb.

I sign up. It's just what I've been waiting for, I love the lore of the game tremendously, but I have never delved into the actual strategies to raise above the newbie level. I have enough time for this. 

Question - if any player surrenders, is he replaced by AI?

What will be the frequency of moves? I propose one move per day.

louist, you do not need much of a connection for PBEM. You need to be able to send and receive a couple of emails per day. Turn files are small.

Initial turn frequency will be 24 hours. It will be increased at turn 30 to 48 hours (sooner if needed).

If someone is losing, I would prefer they fight to the end. If they are down to a fort and no provinces and want to go AI, that is fine. If someone decides this is not for them, I would like to get a sub. We could probably recruit from the Dominions forums if necessary.

I would like to have 8-10 players for this game. It seems like a good size that allows for diplomatic options without being to large and unmanageable at the end.

I am also interested in playing.

I'll play. I've only played singleplayer before and I'm sure I'll get conquered quickly.

Don't count yourself out, abomination5. One reason I am starting this here is to get people with hardly any experience. I am currently 14 turns in another multiplayer game, and that is the extent of my experience other than some mucking about in SP.

I'd love to join, but that game is just too damn confusing for me to play effectively. Granted, apparently I was a water fountain in the last (and only) game I played, so what do you expect?

It might be a couple of weeks, if we wait for ElanaAhova. I did not realize this would get a response this fast. If we get a couple more confirmed players, I can start assigning the nations and people can start submitting Pretenders.

This is a good opportunity to learn. I doubt any of us will be playing all that effectively either.

For myself, I have no problem waiting a couple weeks if we need to do so.  I'd rather everyone who wants in gets a chance to play, then have someone miss out.

I've got a lot of SP games under my belt, but every time I've played multiplayer, I've lost. Should be fun

I have always been interested in this game. How large are the maps and how many people in one game?

I am not sure what the max is, but I am targeting 8 - 10 people. I am planning to have 13-16 provinces per person. Maps can get much larger.

I've finally got my copy installed, so I'm definitely in.

I vote for waiting for Elana as well.

Hopefully we can get the nations assigned sooner, though, so we (or I, anyway, since I need all the help I can get) can start playing around with some strategy ideas in SP.  :)

Well, we have enough now. Once the remaining players get their top three nation pics in, I can start assigning. There is still room for additional players.
