Trouble with Firefox4 and Windowblinds

FF4 and Windowblinds BAD JUJU for Chasbo

Is anyone else having this problem?: When using Firefox4, this happens randomly, I click a link and before the page loads the background turns black, there is a pause and the page loads. Sometimes the page doesn't load and the whole damn computer locks up!

Testing: Win7 64bit.  In an effort to see what the hell is happening I tried two things to solve the dilemma and this is what I have found:

1. Unload Windowblinds and the black screen and random lockups don't happen in Firefox4.

2. Using Chrome and Windowblinds and the problem of the page turning black and loading slowly or locking up the machine doesn't happen.

Conclusion: On my machine Firefox4 and Windowblinds do not get along.

Has anyone else experienced what I have described?

Not here. FF4 is working pretty good for a change.

I have W7/64, and I don't get the black screen, but I find FF4 slower than the previous version. Trying to load a link sometimes takes awhile, and when it does, it freezes up the whole browser. Before, I could just click on another tab and keep browsing while the slow tab loaded - not anymore.

I think if you look at some of the other threads about problems with FF4 they suggest that browser addons or toolbars may be the problem.  I don't use FF4 so can't help more than that.

At that time all was well with it. Since then is when I'm having problems. 24 hrs. using chrome and no problems at all.

Well, but Chrome is very heavy on resources, and not so customizable . Did you read my first post in the mentioned thread ( reply # 4) ?

I'm having the same problem as Chasbo with FF4.  It doesn't happen a lot...just once in a while.

Try Pale Moon 4.0, made by people that know what they are doing.

Probably you already know, Tom, but I ask just to be sure: did you download Pale Mon latest version, 4.0.5 (a few "problem" fixed) ?
