Issue in SKS7/WB7

Driving me nuts...

Can anyone tell me why in Windows 7 when I design a bottom start menu image for search mode, that that same image appears on the bottom when the start menu expands for recent documents?  Expanding for recent documents has nothing to do with search mode, the normal bottom bar image should remain, so I imagine it is a bug in SKS7/WB7.

 

Sure hope someone can figure this out.  Thanks.

I'm a little confused...when you expand a start menu,only the right side and bottom right stretch?

Did you skin the 'bottom bar right'?

My confusion comes from wondering why the graphics dont line up...are the 2 modes that different?(additional confusion from just waking up)bleh

Yep, the bottom images are that different I.R., the normal one looks similar to the one in the screenshot here:

When the start menu expands in Windows 7 the top, right and bottom all expand as far as I can tell. I skinned bottom bar on the left only, I tried it on the right also though but it made no difference, the issue still occurred.

ok...I'm not seeing a prob here because I used the same images for search and regular mode on both left and right.

Let me take a shower and I'll switch some graphics around and see what happens. 8|

The Windows 7 startmenu uses the same bottom section for expanded mode and search mode (try it with Aero and you will see).  This is not a bug in WindowBlinds or SKS and unfortunately will not be changing as this is an OS limitation.

I agree it is irritating.

Yep,I can verify...it switches to search mode graphic in expanded mode...sounds like a redesign for you Tom.

I would try to use the limitation to my advantage by designing something that looked cool in both modes...as long as it is going to force you to do it...do it neat! (like changing shape from mode to mode)

I redesigned the top search mode and all programs search mode images, looking good now.  Thanks for the assist guys! :)
