Is IE9 and the Stardock/WinCustomize site fully compatible?

But not for XP - I will stick with Firefox.

Just tried to use the quote function (which didn't work for Jafo in earlier versions) and it doesn't work (yet) for me.

Can you install the final version over the RC?

From what I have read - you can install the final version over the RC.

Quote function works with the RC if you use 'Compatibility view' ....;)

Yes.

"Quote function works with the RC if you use 'Compatibility view' ...."

After choosing "compatibility view" you then have to close and reopen the browser. Choose (also) the "Compatibility settings" and add wincustomize.com to it, or tick the box for comaptibility view for all websites.

so now that IE9 is out of RC and in production, might this issue be addressed from the WC developers now?

(yes I understand that compatibility mode fixes it, but honestly comp. mode is nothing more than a band-aid and not a fix.)

I'll wait till IE 10

I just installed it, it updated both the 32 bit version in Progam files(86) and the 64 bit version in Program files. I am not a big IE user but do occasionally use it.

My Primary Browser is FF.

I have tried Opera, Pale Moon and Maxthon did not care for them.

What bothers me most about "Compatibility View" is that is reverts ie9 to an earlier version (where websites were 'compatible'.

So, what's the point of having ie9, unless it's there to wait for everyone else to 'catch up'. So, I agree with Phoon. Now there's a scary thought.

I had issues with the RC version of IE9 and stardock products... had to roll back IE9 to IE8 at that time.

IE9 cannot display webpage. Stardock services are blocked when I logged in.

Note: i did uninstall, ie9 rc (add/remove programs, show install updates) and reboot to return to ie8 final and then installed ie9 final code.

Does IE9 have the favorites bar? If not, I'm not interested.

Yes, IE9 has the file menu, favorites bar and they are accessed by right clicking on the black space below the address ba rat the top of the browser window and can be checked/unchecked by simple mouseclick action. Other functions are accesed through the Gear Icon in top right of the browser window.

Cheers

IE sucks period. I will stick to chrome and FF.

I'm not crazy about how it looks. I don't like the address bar and tabs on the same bar, so I changed that.

I do not like the back and forward buttons, I like them the same size.

Toolbar is still blue. YUK!!

I have not looked into what parts of this are skinable yet, but I think I'll stick with Firefox.

I'm sticking to FF too. IE9 should have opened the web page right away instead it says not. I'm not going to waste my time with it.
