Discription:
Elemental:New Order is a modification for Elemental: War of Magic. The mod focuses the costum champion geration, to give the player more opportunities for his very own hero. And Number and incidence of NPCs.

What this mod does?
- Adds many new weapons, armors and other eqiupment for heros and your troops.
- New Balanced weapons and armors, and partially rename them.
- Enable all normal equipment for self-generated heroes.
- Chances techtree for both kingdom and empire factions for warfare.
- Adds many more sov talents and histories and chances the vanilla attributs
- Brings tons of tons of new well dressed and equipted recruitable heroes. Espacialy new fallen and empire heroes.
- Adds many more histories and abilities for all recruitable heroes.
- Reworked Spellbooks. All Books now can be researched. And brings new tactical spells.
- Some new effects for the new spells and abilities.
- Many new grafics for the new spells.
- and thats it is

Installation:
- Place the folders "Effects and Mods both in:
"C:\users\yourname\My Documents\My Games\Elemental"
If you have installed an older version of New Order, just override it.
- In Optons, just check the checkbox "Mods"


Known bugs:
- The fallen race has the abilitie "Warmashines" twice. But just one has an effect, the other ability has no effect.
- The talents are mostly unsorted, thats why it is so hard to override an existend ability
- I'am german, so many writing errors are possible.

What is to do:
- Some work with Balance
- Your ideas could be incorporated
- eleminating typing errors

Credits:
- Stardock: for in mod used animations and models
- Myself for all in mod used textures, effects and for the implementation
- Effects are made with the particle cauldron
- textures are made with GIMP 2.2

Useage:
- Feel free to use the new effects, graphics and xml-files of my mod. All this content was worked by myself. Just give me credits when you want use them for your own mods you want release.

Wow. Very ambitious mod. I see that you are using what appear to be a personal website to host your download. I might suggest you put it up on wincustomize.com as this is both an SD site and is home to many other great mods. You may also want to post some compatibility notes as well. This mod may not be fully compatible with the other popular mods out there. Under your TODOs, you state that you want to give the NPC's special abilities, I personally made a skill library for just this kind of purpose, feel free to use it directly or steal some modifiers from the various abilities.

If you are looking for a better skeleton to use with your skath mounts, check out this mod: https://forums.elementalgame.com/399607

It puts the riders higher up so they do not look like they are in the body of the skath. You can use anything.

Edit: I will make a new horse 3d file for the armor that doesn't warp it in combat. I'll put it in expandedmounts. Feel free to use it for this mod if you want to.

I don't like that idea, your mod has some heavy rebalancing while expandedmounts uses only core rules. But if you want, you can use any models and skeletons from my mods.

This is a great addition of stuff, but it does not look compatible with some of the other popular mods; in particular the Adventure Content Pack (also references unused art assests) and the Updated Weapons (core weapon files conflict) mods.  Would it be acceptable to re-use your art  to create sub-mods that would play nicely with those?  Since you have created a new tech path, would be difficult to balance the two natively.

Also, have you considered modifying the  structure of the mod to make it easier to enable / disable some parts?  For instance creating a folder structure with one for for NPC's, one for Sov talents and histories, one for new tech + weapons and armour?

I think this mod might be better as like 3-4 mods, which address each part that is trying to be done. So A talents and histories mod, a equipment mod, and an NPC mod. This might make it easier to mitigate the possible incompatibilities, as well as allow users to get only the pieces they want without having to gut them out.

It was never a goal of the mod to be compatible with other mods, but you're right, indeed it might be better to split all the components of New Order mod. But I must refuse your Proposal, bacause the new NPCs use all the new equipment and the new equipment NEEDS the changed Techtrees.

By the way the new techtreees doesn't change many much, I need to change them because i need a new concept to build the new weapons and armors to technologies and the vanilla system was not suitable therefore. There are just 4-5 Technologies more for many more new content, that all I changed. Of course, that is absolutly incompatilble with other mods.

All I can do is to release the new talents and hisories as a own small modification. But there is already such a kind of modification that focuses sov talents and abilities.

 

But I forget to mention it in the discription, everybody can fell free to use contents of New Order for his own modifications. That are all textures and icons and all xml files. the models are vanilla and came all from stardock, except the heavy armored horse model.

The tech trees are only necessary for this in the specific case that they are going to be unlocked for unit design or for purchase in the shop. The NPCs will get the items automatically if they are specified in their xml. If you create two mods, one for NPCs and one for just the equipment, both mods will work by themselves, though the NPC will not have your custom items if both are not installed.

All I can do is to release the new talents and hisories as a own small modification. But there is already such a kind of modification that focuses sov talents and abilities.

There is a talent/abilities mod, but it is not being supported actively. Thus such a mod would be beneficial to a greater extent than you might realize.

Of course, that is absolutly incompatilble with other mods.

You probably want to make a big note of this at the top so potential downloaders understand the risks.

This mod is real good, but things do and will need some balance work.

 

Making a talents/abilities module would be nice for the help of other modders, as what you have now in terms of revamping heroes/adventurers is really good. 

 

Maybe the other mods could be adjusted to yours?  I don't know- but I know you have something really good here that needs work, but can make Elemental a much better game.

Version 0.75beta is now released.

What is new/changed:
- Most NPC classes now come with very own special abilities. Like throwing weapons for assassine, or battlesongs for bards. Especially mages now have spells they can cast without using mana. Natural talents.

- from 0.75beta on, there are many more mage-NPCs, and this mages are damned more powerful, because of the natural spells they can cast.

- Magic books have all been completely reworked. From now on, ALL (Mobility, Combat, Terraforming, Enchantment) magic books can be researched, but no more selectable spell books for self created Sovs. Just Live and Death books still special books for either kingdom oder empire nations, that can not be researched.

- Many new emiter-effects for the new spells and special abilities.

- Many new grafics for the new spells.
