Couple of head scratchers...

1: Equipping Heroes/Kids: Too much clicking involved. Open shop, double click and scroll a dozen times, exit, go to equip screen, click a dozen times, scroll twice. Now I generally hate to see the word streamlined used anywhere but, how about streamlining this process so that double right clicking buys&equips in one go?

2: Auto Loot/Auto Kill that bandit molesting my caravans: GalCiv had an automated function for automagicaly probing anomalies, and right now my heroes are mostly heavily armed survey ships anyway. And this happens a lot:

Me:"Hey, hey you with the expensive sword that I just bought you for being special and unique."

Ratek Clone #2: "Yes Sovereign?"

Me: "So, funny thing happened, I was expecting a shipment of...personal effects for the queen. It's that time of the season again."

Ratek Clone #2: "Sorry to hear my lord. Might I ask what the funny part is?"

Me: "Well it was on a caravan, I believe it was located not an hour 's journey from you in fact..."

Ratek Clone #2: "Ah, yes the one from the city of Ykjfgkill'mmmmmcorn"

Me: "Yes. That one."

Ratek Clone #2: "Indeed Sovereign, that was most hilarious. The merchants tried to fend off the Golem with strings and small woven pads. I am sorry for their families though."

Me: "You are my least favorite Ratek so far."

So where's the button that makes him go murder unfriendly things within my borders? (and yes I'm aware of the ! alert on the right of the screen)

3: I know everything about enemy cities, troop equipment, their storage of nails, planks and building ques, so why don't I know about who's married to who outside of my own family tree? Don't want to be 2nd generation family members? Fine! I'll just marry my great great grand son to your great great great granddaughter, via Verga's family! Then you'll like me! You'll see! Strategically sneaky marriage should be a thing. Please add a similar function to the one found in the kingdom report screen pages so I can flip through the family trees and plot these things out.

I think you might have a point here. I think it would be cool to have something closer to what most RPGs do, a dual sided system with the character's inventory on one side and the store items on the other. Thus, a player could simply buy, sell, and equip items without having to move between the various UI elements.

Yeah, it would be cool if I could build a party of regular units and set them to patrol a city or an area in general. This would really eliminate the player having to look over his/her empire to check for wandering baddies.

Yeah, the current shop interface is bizarre.  Ideally?  A paper doll equipment system, in which the paper doll of the selected hero is on the left, the inventory is next to it or below it, and the shop's inventory is on the right. Click and drag or double click for the win!

OP: awesome Ratek clone #2 story, coupled with a great point:-)

It does tell you if any monsters enter your territory.

Folks have asked for (and objected to the idea of) a paper doll equipment interface since late 2008. I'm pretty sure the Yeas outweigh the Nays, but the devs have yet to go for it. Not sure why.

Ykjfgkill'mmmmmcorn? Man, I love that place!

Seriously... some love ofr the random name generator? I have to hit the randomize button 20 times to get something barely readable...

How about a contest or something for us to give you some names? Like in GalCiv where stars where named from a list (s a short one, but still)

i think that you should be able to station a unit with a caravan.  so that they can escort the caravan along the path.  would this be very hard to implement?

I think the fact that the current state of caravans and their management generates this many threads/posts should be saying something loud and clear to the good folks at SD.

Can you please just let us know if there are any plans to address these issues and maybe a time frame as to when it would be implemented?

Thanks!
