Have a look at Winamp. It has a video player function as well as music and it is skinnable. Not as versatile as DX but it will do what you want.

DX can do a full screen vid player if you use the browser as the viewer.

Take a look at my (super-simple) youtube video player here: https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/desktopx_widgets/2015/

I set the browser window to be small but there is no reason why you couldn't have a second DX object that was full screen and hidden that showed when you used a toggle to make it visible.

See reply #3. Make two DX objects. One normal and one that does full screen. Make the normal one the parent and the full screen the child. Turn the full screen on with a toggle like it was explained. I don't so DX but I think that's how it goes.

The DX player does have a video screen, but it's only a popup, I believe. LINK and LINKED

You could use the ActiveX Windows Media Player, which is capable of having a video screen. See Rabidrobot's Media Player for a good example

I could never get the visualization window to open inside a frame. I used to try long time ago....gave it up.

I would love to have video in my DX players.

Hi Eve!  :inlove:

Howdy, Jim! Gef's Azure is another example of a media player with a fixed visualization window; pretty sure it uses activex.
