Paragon Backup and Recovery 2010 Advanced Free Edition

Backup is important, but without recovery options it’s just not enough.

I noticed Paragon’s Backup on Giveaway of the day’s website today, so I went shopping (not ‘shopping’ that’s what I did for that image) to see what I could find for you.

On their website I found the software in the title, and it’s free (no money). While I use Acronis, this software is far from shabby. I strongly suggest the folks without backup and recovery software cruise on over and read a bit.

It’s good on a wide range of OS’s both x486 and x64. It’s also feature rich allowing complete and differential backup, etc.

A particularly nice feature is that it comes with a manual! While that’s a second download, it’s free as well. I recommend you pick that up and read before installing the software.

I will give them a looksie.  I use Cobain, but my problem is space!  I think I am going to break down and get Carbonie - just because I now have a DB (genealogy) of about 18gb! (Pictures).

Sounds like external storage (or optical disk) is in order.... Net's as good a place as any other.
