HOW?!?!?

Can someone tell me how you even get into multiplayer to try?  When I try to login in the game I get "An error occurred trying to process your request".

Impulse is logged in and registered and I'm using the same account and it won't log me in for starters.  Second why do I even have to log in inside the game when impulse is already logged in.  I'd like to try a multiplayer LAN game with a friend who is sitting 5 feet from me, why do I have to even connect to the Internet and log in.

I get this same error whenever I try to login from within Elemental. It doesn't matter if I use my email address or user id.

It seems the multiplay features have been put on the proverbial "back burner". Maybe not even that close! :) Focus seems to be on the AI for all those solitaire people. :(

I just tested and it worked fine for me.  I was running the 1.11 public version.  Let me know if you are still having problems.

I have Elemental installed on two different computers. One is running 1.19 and the other 1.11. I get the message "An error occurred trying to process your request" on both of them when I use shift-tab to try to login to Impulse. The computer running 1.11 is a brand new install of Impulse and Elemental just to try to determine if this problem was unique to the original computer or 1.19.

I first noticed this when trying out the 1.19 beta because I thought I needed to be logged in to get past the "Failed to download data file" error. I now know I can get past that by using Esc (not sure why that dialog only has an Ok buttton).

However, being unable to login to Impulse also completely blocks the ability to even try out multiplayer.

I tried adding Elemental to the Windows firewall, and disabling the Windows firewall completely. Neither of those helped. I wondered if it might be a communication port that needs to be forwarded on my broadband router, but I haven't seen anything anywhere to suggest that was needed, and have no idea what port it would be. That also seems a bit odd, since the Impulse launch/update tool obviously doesn't need it to log in, and most of my other modern multiplayer games seem to work fine without this extra step. I'm not willing to put my computer outside the NAT firewall to see if a completely open internet connection fixes it.

It would be nice if that error message were a bit more informative.

I'm having the same issue. I can log into Impulse just fine using the impulse application as well as being able to log in to my account via this website. I can not however login to anything having to do with the online features of elemental. I just bought this game yesterday and I can't believe how many things just don't work correctly. FYI, I also checked my firewall settings and they are not preventing Elemental from communicating. They are many other things I am fairly upset about in regards to the money I have wasted on this game, but if someone could help me with this it might make things a little better.
