Help Please...

Placing Structures

This may have been covered somewhere I am not sure. While playing Diplomacy it seems that I cannot choose where my structures are being built. They are just placed somewhere in the gravity well. This only happens in diplomacy as i have tried entrenchment and it works fine for me. Any help would be appreciated.

The auto place button is active. Hit 'K' to disable. There is also a button the lower right side of the screen at the top of the UI as well.

The button is an infinity symbol.
