[1.11] Out Of Memory error

I had just started a new city and was progressing through my troops.

On my PC it always happens on saving (and autosaving) every 4th to 5th save or so.

Hello, thought I'd add my data to the pool. The application didn't quite get to creating the crash report (.zip is empty), so I'll just link the debug.err and .dmp files:

 

Details:

Crashed on Turn 200 after ending the turn. Error Dialog presented was "Out of Memory."

Question / suggestion:  are those of you who keep crashing playing with FOW disabled ?  If so, try turning it back on.

cobol, I am playing with the default of FOW on, but with cheats enabled, but no cheat used.

I have been getting these out of memory crashes frequently. I like the first part of the game, but I would really like to finish a game sometime. It seems to be related to the autosave feature.  Going to dig around and see about uploading.

Has anyone found a solution to this problem?  I am getting this problem playing Galactic Civilzations 2 with a mod.  It happens any time I try to save after a certain number of turns, or any time it autosaves.  The game just freezes, and when I hit alt+ctrl+del, there is an error message, so I check out the error message and it says "Out of memory" which is absurd.  I just bought the computer less than a week ago.  Even the weakest new computer could run and save this game.
