Cake Simulator?

Hey guys (and ladies),

My wife is a hardcore PC gamer and ah...cake maker....and she has asked me to find her some sort of cake simulator for the PC. Or maybe a baking simulator. I figure if they make earth mover sims there's gotta be a baking sim out there. Right?

That's a toughie. I suppose if it simulated taste, too, it'd be real popular.

You know there are tons of pseudo simulator cooking games. But not a single baking simulator or game i can think of. Which is rather surprising when you think about the number of things a person can learn about various chemicals/substances reaction to heat with something like that.

Pizza tycoon is closest I can come up with.... While on that subject... Theme Hospital still is an awesome game and free nowadays (source released by original dev and even helped the community create a multiplayer patch). "Dr. Spikey, Dr. Spikey Emergency room pleaaaaaaaaaase".

I guess the question is how realistic does she want it to be. If she just wants a game that revolves around baking cakes then you might try Cake Mania. It's a fairly popular time managment game that involves running a bake shop and baking custom cakes for different clients. It was in fact popular enough that it spawned at least 2 sequels. I still see women playing it from time to time. It's not especially realistic though.

You can find the link to the first one at http://www.sandlotgames.com/w5/cake_mania.html and I believe it may be free. If she likes it you could try one of the sequels, which may be a bit better.

That is a very good question. She's looking for something as realistic as possible--I don't think she'll be satisfied with any of the flash games.

Thanks for all of your suggestions so far everyone! I honestly didn't expect to get any responses :-)

Evolution in action. From Flight Simulator in the old times to Cake Simulator in these modern times.

I heard the OWN network (Oprah Winfrey Network) is making a new game where your sim can switch channels between Oprah, Dr. Phil, Dr. Oz, and Jerry Springer.

Over the years I've had 2 monitors catch fire. Do they count as "baking programs"? If so, the ingredients are readily available and inexpensive. Just add dust and pet hair.

Are you asking how it happened? If so, the dust or pet hair caused a short in the circuitry.

You, my good doctor, have earned a karma.

You could try Portal. I was told it's all about cakes and stuff.
