I was worried about you guys. How are you?

Ipswich is expecting the river to rise by 22m tomorrow and the rain just keeps on coming. Everyone is glued to the TV hoping there is no more flash flooding. :S

Well, of course we're holding good thoughts for you, and Vamps and Jafo....

But the "Doc Research Dep't. - FEMA Subsidiary" has been working overtime to find solutions! Yes! We're coming....don't abandon hope!

For Shaunna a lovely inflatable skirt! For Mark? "The Twisted Sister, Jr."

we are doing ok we are lucky enough to be up on high ground no news of us being evacuated thats a good thing for us .... I do feel for those that have it far worse than us :'(

hahaha thanks doc that was needed lol now I know I will be safe

Wow, no wonder a lot of people found themselves in trouble.

The 35 centimeters of snow and strong winds we just received here in Edmonton pale in comparison to what you people are experiencing down under. With snow you can plow and shovel but with flood waters there is little that can be done but wait for the waters to recede.

I hope everyone is able to stay safe in the effected areas and our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

thanks jc,  speaking for myself  we are ok for now  but half way down the road from us  its waist high already and being that we are up on the hill  we are safe  ....

hey taz yup there are some weird people that wont learn lol

I'm 'miles' away....[think thousands - almost].  Oz is a big place.

Queensland is our equivalent of Florida/Mississippi, etc.....tropical and not a clever place to expect sunshine always.....

Cyclones....storms...floods..... four inches of rain per hour.....

Melbounre just got out of a 14 year drought .... and Qld is literally drowning.

Any mention of Oz makes me think of you all as being in the same town for some reason. Maybe it's because of the Community/family thing. I'm so relieved Shaunna, Mark, taz and Jafo will probably get through this ok... still worrying about Vamps and don't know if I should worry about DigitalChet, and Nimbin?

Update me, guys...please.

I still don't know if vamps is ok, not sure bout nimbin or DigitalChet, I hope and pray they are ok , my thoughts are with them.
it looks like the floods will be worse than the 1974 floods in Brisbane and its surrounding areas. another update when the reporter mentions about Ipwich that is not far from us its about a 15 minute drive from Brassall

Despite that odd accent, I heard Ipswich has 16 suburbs affected. Prayers for Vamps.

Been watching on satellite news channel , looks really bad.

Hope it clears up quickly without any further loss of life.

I'm crossing my fingers none of our community members are hit too badly with this.  I've had to deal with floods once in my life, and I can truly say, it was the worst time in my life.

Been watching for some time Shaunna. This is from NOAA. Best I could get on the spur of the moment.

I don't know exactly where Kitty is. Hopefully far enough away.

Trying to call up some radar maps but the internet connection here is too slow. sorry.

Power will be turned off at some flood locations. If you don't hear from Shaunna or Kitty they might be in these areas and are unable to use a computer. But they do have some more important worries at the moment. Keep safe guys. :sun:

Every man has a priority list ....  Beer fridge, barbie, fishing chair, dog, fly swatter, local paper, kids and then the wife. In that way you will have kids get your beer from the fridge and your wife can cook up some snags, while you do a spot of fishing.
