January Desktop Screenshots

Well happy new year everyone. I thought I would get the ball rolling with a new screenshot post seeing how December 2010 has left us.

Here is a new take on Solid State thanks to a new texture I made tonight. I now know how to do them, YEAH! The start menu and taskbar in this shot are not transparent. It is a schematic texture.

More nice screenshots. Y'all really know how to put a desktop together! Anna, what blind is that???

I like that "recolor" color you created, Junior. I never even experimented with recoloring the blind but apparently it does good with color changes... :|

Thanks Uvah and Rick.   :sun: And I concur, "nice screenshots".     narbytrout nailed that one.   My blind is Aztec by LightStar.

More playing around.

This is Ritchie31 new blind and it actually is quite good. The one problem I have is with menu text. In drop boxes it has text on top of text. Maybe because I am using Windows 7 and it was not designed for that OS. I wish someone could tell me how to fix it.

Good one RickJP. How did you get both docks to be the same? Oops, sorry if I'm mistaking the one on the right for Nexus cause that's where I keep mine. I still have a problem getting it to accept docks from OD.

both docks are nexus, I put them in C:\Users\Public\Documents\Winstep\NeXuS\Backgrounds

Side dock I turned 90 degrees so kept same look if thats what you ment Showing turned and not below on right side dock.

I thought one was OD2. I'm running the free version. Put some OD docks in Nexus folder. They show up in themes but when I apply them all I get are gray tiles and that's for all of them not Nexus docks. Anyway... here's Garnet Storm with texture. The wall came with Win7 and the smx is a newbie called Oval.

Most of the time I just download docks and unzip straight into the Nexus background folder most of the time will work ok.

Both docks used here

Like that texture on Garnet Storm, Uvah. Kinda puts a new face on an already great blind! <_<

You got a real knack for putting stuff together properly, Rick. I'd like to see you, Junior and a few more put that talent to work and create some  blinds. You guys KNOW you'd have PLENTY of help....

Oval's little brother. WB is Titans Forge with texture and OD is Titans Forge tiles. Nexus Leopard with Tech Pro icons hidden behind start menu. Wall is another that comes with Win7

I would like to make a blind but there sure seams like a lot of work involved in making one. I really respect those that do it. I have learnt a little buy modifying a few with simple changes like text and changing some of the tga's in Photoshop but doing a whole blind from scratch scares me.

@ Xiandi thank you a whole bunch for your help. The blind is a lot more usable now because of you.
