More Opponents / More Races

Hello,

first I want to mention, that GalCIv 2 ist a great game, I like it very much. But there is something, that bothers me: The few opponents! I like to play a gigantic or immense map, but there are too few opponents. It would be much more fun if is there were the possibility to play against min. 15 races - The more, the better.

Is there a mod which can do this or is an update/expansion planned? I'm sure, a lot of people (not only me) would like this!

The closest thing that I have seen to this is the mod that is supposed to enable the Minor Races to colonize and expand, thus acting more like small Major Races.

If that works, then a game could have 8 + 9 = 17 opponents that are all colonizing and expanding.

It works.

It's not perfect in the regard that the minors aren't part of the UP, are completely exempt from the influence game - no cultural takeovers - and are exempt from victory.  Given that, you can have up to 17 opponents.  I'm currently involved in a game with 8 majors and 8 minors.

Thank you, thats not exactly what I'm looking for, but worth a try. Where can I find this mod?

 

It would be great if my suggestion (I read this before from other users) will be noticed for a possibly GalCiv III or better, an update for this version. That would increase fun and long-time motivation for this fantastic game!
