To be fair, it makes sense that if one was going to make a demo of the game in a very short amount of play time, one would choose to research Logistics before Equipment, because of the extra time needed to pump out a group unit. Likewise it makes sense that one would charge their units rather than reposition in order to move things along. Or that one would rush into the war before the economy was ready for it.

But it's still funny.

I would just like it if the AI would use shields sometimes, I have yet to ever see one on an AI troop.  Any chance we can have an ETA on the AI using that equipment?

Yes, there were a few people I had in mind but I'd rather not cry witch and spark a fight as that'd be... Well, discourteous. Ha, 'courtesy' must be a hypocrite. And, of course, there's always the chance that I'm wrong and they were part of the "good ribbing" crowd. In which case, a general warning will do.

That said, this has nothing to do with the topic.

Regarding courtesy -- if one is going to accuse someone of spitefulness, it is courteous to have the nads to stand behind it by specifying who/what.  That courtesy allows others to judge the merits of your accusation, and prevents those you aren't referring to to know they're not the target (as with Aeon...).

That you're unwilling and/or unable to point out just who/what was in your opinion 'spiteful' buttresses my point and purpose.

Perhaps next time you'll refrain from this behavior, to the betterment of our discussions here?  Or perhaps not...

While you're picking apart trivial (made up?) courtesies to bolster your rhetoric, might I suggest that you don't smear the name of others based on rough guesswork, derail the topic, insinuate that I'm casting aspersions when you can't even name a target, presume you have a right to be such a pompous know-it-all, etc.

As for Aeon, that was solved rather quickly. I pointed out he was not my target. End of discussion. I saw no tears, promises of revenge, etc. I may have peeked a nut or two baring arms on the side but... that's a tale for another day.

So are we going to get a stable build for 1.2? as the OOM crash issue after 200-300+ turns is still occuring. 

I posted about it earlier yet my post despite being totally true and very polite was removed anyway, which is interesting are we sweeping issues under the carpet now? or is mention of continuing issues suddenly verboten?

Its not an issue for everyone.. i for one haven't had one crash, but i don't know if how good the computer is affects it though.

Only one crash here after many many hours of turns turns and turns +1 turn to make it safe....since I got the game 1st week of December.

I'm really liking this game...can't wait for expansions/mods...

So because you don't have an issue those of who do "still" should just move along? yeah don't think so.  I have been very polite and patient on the subject and you sir shall not sway me from that.  So troll elsewhere the issue is far from being a "limited to a handful" issue and has been a recurring issue despite every patch since release.  Now as you dobn't work for Stardock and therefore do not have anything relevant to the issue beyond "it doesnt affect you " (yay for you) I will continue to direct my comments to them as I "was" doing as I too would like a copy of this game that actually works for me as it should too if thats alright with you?

the OOm issue still occuring and I am far far from using an old machine its actually high end.

also the DLC from the Destiny's Embers no longer appears in game since the 1.1 patch all the characters etc..have gone from the list.  Somethign else you might want to take a look at.

I think hes just trying to say that you don't need to post in every thread about the out of memory issue when there are many posts about it already.  This journal is about some fun that Brad is having with the game and you are posting about out of memory issues. This is not the place for it. Post in the support forum.

I never indicated anyone should "just move along", and no im not trolling. (an example of trolling in my opinion would be "hey bob STFU go play Sims you noob" or something immature on my part like that (which i'm sure you don't want to do cos Sims sucks!)) i think you might have misread my meaning.
What i was pointing to was you complaining that YOUR thread had been deleted or ignored or whatever and therefore SD was brushing the issue under the carpet was probably incorrect.
I was saying there are many other threads that mention the same issue and you should support one of those if you have that particular issue, as i agree it shouldn't be happening at this point in development of a game.
its much easier for a developer to have all issues together so they can read through them easier to help fix the issue. 

I then stated that for me in particular I haven't had that issue, not discrediting your issues, just showing others that this isn't something plaguing everyone who has purchased this game. (I certainly never indicated that only a handful have this issue)

And i certainly hope that as soon as possible you get a version of this game that does work for you without crashing, as i know from 1.09 it wasn't fun having this happen.

I i agree you have been polite and patient which is fantastic as getting aggressive never helps anyone and probably discourages reading.

It's bloody obvious that the demo video is just a bit of fun showcasing some game mechanics, I doubt he's even paying much attention to what he's doing. 

I have to say that the terraform spells are my favorite. I learned to abuse the Volcano spell... Screw teleport tactics. Just teleport your sovereign/a spell caster outside of the city with their leader and Curgen's Volcano that place. Unless they have deathward, it's an instant win. I'm loving what's been done with the game so far though. Keep up the great work!

My complaints are simple (maybe not to implement though...):

(1) There are no high level spells any more. Once you get past level 7, there's nothing.

(2) Also, I think that the schools/literacy tree shouldn't follow better housing, because it takes a while to get there sometimes. Maybe it should follow Guilds...

And as a follow up to number 2, (3)If I upgrade to villas late in the game, with like 4+ cities, it crashes the game when all houses simultaneously upgrade.

(4) Elemental is still eating up my processor power and crashing the game when there's nothing left for it to consume.

6:50 nice to see that the good old "can place multiple copies of the same unique building" bug still isnt fixed.

(note how the Study is still selected and ready to be placed even after being placed once already)
