The REAL Chatroom

The REAL Chatroom

Or alternative Chatroom

Ok, so I decided to create a new Chatroom, because the old one was getting pretty....old! ;P

Everyone may post here, as well as in the good'ol Flameroom...I mean, Chatroom *_*

I would like to keep this Chatroom civilized. Well, as civilized as most forum threads are (doesnt mean that you all have to be polite like Oatesy, lol).

So for this reason, I may update the OP of this thread in the future, posting certain thread rules, as I see fit.

For now though, post away, and everyone is welcome! :)

Well I think some time spent in game form is healthy and as in all things, moderation.
End of IROKONESS's quote

I don't like being moderated. I think that's why Jafo doesn't like me. :P

And I would live in the videogame world if I could. Or anime.....that's a close second. Probably shouldn't mention my third.....

I am amazed you bought it at all with its extreme DRM.
End of Ryat's quote

I didn't do my homework. I was playing SimCity 4 when my net was down and having a good time, when it came back up, I did a search for mods and what not since I wanted to trick out some roadways to be more realistic, saw SimCity 5 and said, "shit, I'll get that, hasn't been a new one of those in a decade", bought it without reading anything about it because I assumed it was like all the others just with updated graphics and cool new features and regretted it ever since. Not only do I hate all of the DRM as you already well know, bullshit at it's finest, seriously, you need an always on connection for a single player game that has historically been a single player game... At least Steam lets you go offline and continue playing... It's also so broken I can't do anything with it. My game crashes between 20 to 25 minutes in, assuming I manage to play that long and don't exit on my own, either way, once I exit the city it becomes unplayable and unable to resume building. Once I've used up all of my region slots, I have to wipe them all out and start all over. The worst thing of all is EA says no refunds, we're working on these issues... They built, approved, and sold this piece of shit and then refuse to refund $40 for a game that is very much unplayable and so below expectations and satisfaction that I'm seriously going to start *ahem* playing without paying *ahem* for any of their products any more... At least on a trial basis until I'm sure what I'm getting is worth spending real money on. One way or another, I'll get my money's worth from them. A monkey fucking a football could have done a better QA job then who ever got hired to do that. I'm pretty sure a nest of post experimented on lab rats with several forms of brain ailments could have done a better job of programming with fewer errors then the coders there...

I'm about ready to buy Rebellion because at least I know it works and I'd be getting what I would be paying for.

I agree. Originally I was against the anything DRM myself but now every company out there has it in some form. With Steam they may have some issues but at least they aren't like a lot of the other companies out there. So I joined up. I think the whole "single player always online" thing is garbage.

I haven't been in Sim that long. This is all good to know. I like the vampires.

EA? Yes, they make good vampires.

Yup, I will be one. :moon: Still learnin.

According to modders, removing one single line in one single package file removes the autokill during offline play. Also learned that I had set my firewall to auto block all communication when in fullscreen mode. So my crashing was basically the game's own: You're not connected? after 20 minutes 'zap to desktop'. Can't wait to try it out.

Still no offline saving though. Oh well, in time, modders will fix that too.

Usually people are, unless getting up to go to work, sleeping right about now.

And I am using my new handy dandy Samsung 5, silver laptop. For my travels this fine summer. Thanks to my $40.00 a month Rocket Hub wireless internet and phone. If I have hydro, I have internet. <3

I wish I could sleep. The weather the past two weeks is just beating me up. Think I will take tomorrow off.

Well, we're not gonna be hitting the 50c, thank goodness. We're in the high 30's. Still really hot if you want to do something outside. ^_^'

And I sure don't blame you for taking time off. No wonder your slim, I've lost five pounds in this heat. I still think your bionic.,

That's our spring weather. We have tons of fun outside then.

Sounds like our wonderful winters.. but it's what we call home. :sun: Hope your keeping kool the Ryat....

Oh I do. Think I will take today off.

Good for you. It's to hot for man or beast out there. And enjoy some ice cold beverages. mmmm

{my emoticons are all mixed up? :annoyed: }

Well it did take until 11:00 AM to reach 100F today so its not that bad. Plus storms might be coming soon.

Storms, oh that sounds nice. We could get one today to. 36c. And the humidity is so thick you can cut it with a spoon. ;) It's cool in here. :sun:

Humidity is a different animal all together. July and August is worse then June because while June can be hotter temperature wise, the monsoons, which bring humidity, makes the other two months worse.

It does, doesn't it. Even a nice breeze is sticky. :S No running at work for the Ryat I bet.

I still run. Especially with some of the new stupid safety rules.

Well must say I'm disappointed a little but I'll keep it. It doesn't heat up and I don't watch movies and such anyway, It's a keeper.

If it works, it works.
